Families with children should probably choose somewhere else. There wasn't anything for children in or around the building, and reaching the beach meant walking farther and crossing a busy main road. This place seemed better suited to backpackers who are out all day and only need somewhere to sleep. It's closer to a hostel than a hotel or guesthouse, though the price is reasonable for a stay of two or three days. We were there with our child, and our first room wasn't ready on arrival. We don't expect much, but the replacement room was appalling. Three of us were put into four square meters with a 140x190 bed. The bathroom was so cramped that, at 1.90 meters tall, I couldn't stand upright or get into the shower. That felt completely unacceptable. We were also bitten badly that evening, possibly by bedbugs, and kept scratching. The next morning we could move into our proper room, but the child's camp bed was another problem. It had no sheet at first, and the bare mattress was covered in small and large stains of unknown origin. After we asked, they brought a sheet and an extra cover, but there wasn't another mattress. Nights were difficult too. Stray dogs and cats made a loud racket every night, sometimes waking us so thoroughly that we couldn't get back to sleep. The hotel couldn't really control that. On the plus side, breakfast was delicious, with the owner's mother making local specialties each morning. We also got good recommendations for beaches and restaurants, though that may partly be because we speak Greek and naturally connect differently with someone who does too.

The people were wonderfully friendly, and breakfast was nice. We picked a budget place because we planned to spend our time at the beach rather than indoors, and it was just what we needed. There are two beach options, one close by and another farther down the road that’s quieter. If you’re traveling alone, ask about room 42. It’s upstairs and has an incredible view over the city.

We stayed for three days, and the room was exceptionally hygienic. The owner seemed to have thought of all the little details for a holiday. I've stayed in many expensive hotels around the world, but this was the first time I'd seen a place this clean. Several beaches are within walking distance, and the owner was very helpful and available whenever you needed to call. Thanks to him.

The location is very good, but the building looks like it has seen better days. It felt more like a hostel than a hotel, and the staff were mostly grumpy and not very helpful. There was no room service at all. If hostels aren't your kind of place, avoid this one.
