Olga's Paradise

We were happy at first: the pool area looked really nice, as did the bar, especially for what we’d paid. That didn’t last long. The apartment was run down and looked like it hadn’t been redecorated since the 2000s. That might not have bothered us if it had been clean, but it wasn’t. The kitchen utensils were dirty and stored in a very old-looking cupboard, and the chopping board was disgusting. There were stains on the bed, holes and cuts in the sheets, bugs in the bed, and what looked like sauce stains on the supposedly fresh towels the cleaners brought. The bed was made so hastily it looked like they were rushing to catch a flight. We arrived to find only two rolls of toilet paper for four nights. I went down to ask for more and got ONE ROLL. I was told cleaners would bring more later, but they didn’t. They only came once during our four-night stay, despite us seeing them at the apartment block every day. We didn’t feel comfortable complaining directly to the owner. We’d seen a few conflicts between her and guests, and reviews mentioned people being shouted at for making similar complaints. The good points were the pool and the location, within a 30-minute walk of Kos town. If you’re going to Kos, choose carefully and pay a bit more for somewhere better, hopefully with better cleanliness.
