We’ve been coming for years, and it’s still the best place ever. Themos and Despina are such a kind, caring family, and we’ve become friends. We stayed for two weeks again last September, but my husband wasn’t feeling very well. They looked after us so lovingly and did everything they could. Nothing was too much trouble.

Balos has a wonderful sea and beach, and it’s the quietest, most romantic area of the island, especially suited to couples. The location is right by the sea, the owners are always kind and available, and the food is excellent. They make the best souvlaki in Samos!

A lot has changed since I first came here 20 years ago, though some things are still just as good, like the food and how friendly the staff are. I can’t find words for the experience. They listen when you ask for anything, even a smaller portion or an extra blanket, and try to take care of it as quickly as they can.

The studios are fully equipped and face the sea, with a balcony or terrace. Balos is about 40 minutes by car from Karlovassi port, and Kampos and Koumeika Villages are a 15-minute drive away. Themos and Despina, the owners, are so kind and make you feel at home. Their restaurant, Akrogiali, is right in front of the studios and serves delicious Greek food and Samos specialties, all homemade. Great for families and couples.

We’ve been coming for over 10 years, and it’s always fabulous. The welcome is warm, and both the food and apartments are just perfect. Totally idyllic.
