Balos beach is stony, and the south side of Samos isn’t the best base for excursions, since you’re constantly going up and down hills. The rooms are small, as is common in Greece, and the place isn’t suitable for people with mobility impairments. Shops are a long way off in Ormos, though there are three very good restaurants in town. Right by the sea, the location and quality of the amenities are exceptional. The communal kitchen is very well equipped.
