Princess Tia Hotel

There’s barely any traffic on the road, and mornings are quiet except for all the birds. You can relax on loungers by the beach or at the pool, and the cafe is great. The staff and owners are super nice and accommodating. All the rooms have balconies, plus a mini stove, pots, pans, a coffee maker, dishes, a fridge, a dresser, and tables. Such a beautiful place. Definitely recommend coming here.

We spent four nights in Samos, then moved to Tia’s place for the last two, excited to be right on the beach. The hotel was clean and the staff seemed nice, but the stay was disappointing and didn’t feel professional. Our air conditioning was broken during a heat wave, and nobody offered to move us to another room. We were told a technician had been called, though I’m not sure that was true. Tia said he had come and told us to “keep our fingers crossed” that it would be fixed. After being awake all night from the heat, that was the last thing we wanted to hear. For two nights of trying to sleep in an oven, we were offered a €20 discount. Sorry, Tia, but you could have done better. We were told not to open the balcony doors because cats might come in. Yet when we left the room door open to cool it down, a cat walked inside. The electrical socket was partly out of the wall, which was dangerous with our young child, and the ceiling fan seemed unstable enough that we couldn’t use it. Hornets near the beach showers also made showering after a swim feel risky. Balos is a nice location with an average beach, though nothing particularly impressive. The highlight of our stay was a night of local music at a nearby mini market.

The beach is right in front of the hotel, with lots of places to lie down, and there’s a pool if you don’t like salt water. It’s a beautiful hotel in an awesome location. I’ve been coming since I was a baby, and now I’m 16. Each time we return, something has improved. This year Tia improved the kitchen, and I ate there a lot. Personally, I wouldn’t pick another hotel.

We had a perfect wedding week at princess Tia hotel in Samos. Tia is wonderful, and the staff are amazing. The bar is lovely, the beach is just across the road, and the fabulous rooms have air con, which is a bonus. Couldn’t have asked for a better week!
