Marni Village Hotel

The rooms were really cosy, and the staff were a big help when our taxi to the airport ran late. We stayed seven days. The food was brilliant, though I'd buy breakfast items at the supermarket most days to save money. There are three pools: the infinity pool was quiet, while the one by the bar was noisier, but it calmed down in the evening. The bar stays open until 1 am. Best hotel ever.

So far, this is our favourite place in Greece. The views were beautiful, the rooms clean, and we got daily hospitality with fresh linen and towels regularly. The gardens were beautifully maintained too. Everything was really well organised, and I couldn't fault it.

The location made it easy to enjoy the town and its many excellent restaurants, and the hotel was very clean. We had a pleasant stay, but at just over €2,000 for a week without breakfast, it felt expensive for what we got. The air conditioning was noisy, the food fell short of expectations, and the basic furnishings and appliances came with uncomfortable pillows. I was surprised there was no complimentary tea or coffee in the room. That's been available at other places I've stayed, even for less, and would be a small touch that could improve the experience. For similar money, nearby 5-star resorts include breakfast and seem more comfortable, and even some three-star places we've tried in Greece felt better value. The hotel has potential thanks to its location and cleanliness. Better food, room amenities, and comfort could make it a great option. For now, we'd probably choose another hotel next time. That's a shame since we hoped to find a new favourite in an area we visit every year.

The staff are what keep bringing us back to Marni Village. Reception, the bar team, cleaners, pool technicians, and gardeners were all warm and attentive, and made us feel valued. The luxury two-bedroom villa was spacious, spotless, and homely, with comfortable beds and sun loungers, reliable WiFi, two furnished outdoor areas, and a generously sized private pool. There's a good choice of restaurants and the harbour a short walk away, and showers for late check-outs were a thoughtful touch. We've been coming for several years and have already booked again for next year. It suits solo travellers, couples, families, and friends, and I'd highly recommend it.
