Villa Stergos

The pool picked up constant debris from the neighbor's hedge. The attendant cleaned it in the morning, but within two hours there were already hundreds of dead flies and dirt on the water. The whirlpool was unheated and much too cold. Inside, the bathroom was covered in limescale and mold, and the mattresses were stained and disgusting. The beds themselves were rock hard, so sleeping was almost impossible. Cleanliness was basically nonexistent. We had to clean everything ourselves on the first day just to feel a little comfortable. There was barely a usable hob: only one burner worked, while the other four gas burners had been switched off by the owner. Many cupboards were broken and needed fixing or replacing. The house felt very run-down, and it would take a lot of renovation before it should be rented as a villa. The noise was another serious problem. The house sits right under a flight path, and at busy times planes passed every three minutes. It was unbearable, and sleeping outside or with the windows open was impossible. We were also uncomfortable about the security cameras. Two point straight at the hot tub. The owner said they weren't active, but we have no way to know if that's true. We can't understand charging so much for a house in this condition, and we can't recommend it. We rent homes in different parts of Greece each year so we can bring our small dog, but we've never encountered anything like this.

We had a lovely week in this magnificent villa, with its own pool and jacuzzi and everything close by. Stevros was a very friendly host who greeted us with fruit and a bottle of rosé. Highly recommended, you can book with confidence.

The owner was very kind and arranged our rides from the airport to the property and back. We could always call if anything came up. The rooms were clean, and the yard felt private. Shops, a pharmacy, restaurants, and the beach were all nearby. The villa was amazing. Planes fly very low overhead, so there's some noise. It didn't bother us, though it could be an issue for others.

The pool was spotless and exceptional, and the villa was clean, unique, and clearly well cared for. We also found a lovely welcome package in the fridge. The owner was attentive and helpful throughout. It's a peaceful spot with supermarkets and other amenities nearby, and restaurants had great prices and delivered straight to the villa. Definitely deserves full marks and a visit.
