We had such a good time at alkion hotel, and ended up becoming friends with the really friendly people there. The food and drinks were great, and breakfast was amazing too. Our room was lovely, with a balcony looking out over the sea and pool. The beach was a 15-minute walk away, so the location worked really well for us.

The team were incredibly helpful: they arranged a taxi to Ouranoupoli, explained what to expect, and even packed breakfast for us. The rooms were really good, and the service and location were great too. Definitely recommend!

The pool bar food was better than what we had at some restaurants on Kiopigi's main street, so I'd give it a try. We also liked the spacious, clean room, the lovely green grounds, and the amazing view. Breakfast had a limited selection, but we didn't miss anything we normally eat at home. There was free parking, and having a rental car made things much easier. One thing to know: the windows don't have mosquito nets, so leaving them open at night means running a plug-in repellent all night. I wouldn't take the risk otherwise. Alkion was good value for our family holiday, and I'm very happy we chose it.

We wanted to spend some evenings eating at the pool bar and having a few drinks with the other guests, but the menu was limited, even though what they did serve was nice. Drinks were about 15% pricier than in the village, just a short walk away, so we ended up not making it an option. The bar could use a bit more atmosphere too. That's my only complaint about what was otherwise a fantastic hotel during our two weeks there.
