Aretousa Villas Guest House

The owners are so welcoming and helpful, always offering recommendations and making you feel at home. That’s why I’m giving five stars, even though on the practical side I’d say four. The internet is poor, especially in the basement. You’re stuck watching YouTube videos at 360p, and sometimes they still won’t load. Also, you can’t flush toilet paper, even used paper, and have to put it in the bin instead. It’s emptied once a day, but can still smell unpleasant, and as a Western European I found the setup a bit odd. Even so, I had a pretty good experience overall.

The location was just right for us, close to the beach without being noisy. It felt peaceful and suited whatever kind of holiday you’re after. The hotel was very clean, and our room was cleaned daily. The staff were lovely and always went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed. We had a perfect stay. Thank you!

The family running the Villa made my vacation feel perfect. They were wonderful and treated me like one of their own. The rooms were great, and I loved the pool. They also helped me find places to explore, including authentic restaurants where locals eat and lesser-known sights like the Venetian castle just outside Perissa. It’s definitely a hidden gem on Santorini.

The owners were welcoming, kind, and very accommodating. This is hands down the best place I’ve stayed so far on my trip, and I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Santorini.
