Helios Beach Hotel

The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the rooms were spotless, modern, comfortable, and well maintained. We also found the location ideal, with the beach, restaurants, and shops a short walk away and easy parking for our rental car. We stayed for a couple of days at the end of our elopement in Santorini, and it was a lovely way to finish such a special trip. The staff were friendly and accommodating from the start. They surprised us with an upgraded room and a bottle of wine to continue the celebration, such a thoughtful touch. We’re glad we chose this relaxing, welcoming place and would highly recommend it.

The hotel was clean, tidy, and smart, with the beach only a very short walk away. The team running Helios were incredibly friendly, personable, and helpful, and knew the best local places to eat. Since it was our honeymoon, they went out of their way to welcome us with fruit and wine on arrival. We stayed in May 2022 and highly recommend it.

The staff were kind, friendly, smiling, and well prepared, and breakfast was good quality. I would have liked a little more fruit, but we enjoyed what was offered. Our room for a young couple was a bit small, though it had useful features: a fridge, Nespresso machine, kettle, safe with a key, air conditioning, TV, private WiFi, and a small balcony with a drying rack. Slippers, a bathrobe, shampoo, and towels were provided too. It’s a nice hotel in a good spot, facing a large parking area and just a couple of steps from Perissa beach via a small, dirty, dark street. The hotel appears to have been renovated recently. There were one or two minor faults, perhaps because the renovation was so recent, but nothing important. I’d keep it in mind for the future.

Helios is a small hotel with a big heart for accommodation. It’s on a main street, near shops, restaurants, a pharmacy, the local bus stop, tour offices, and car and bike rental shops. The beach is at the back, about an 8min walk. The staff offer a more personal kind of service. Special thanks to Irini at the daytime front desk, who helped organize tours and hotel transfers, and to Eléni and M Serando, who greeted us and handled our requests in the evening. Thank you too to Inna for the continental breakfast, served in the dining room in the main lobby. The rooms are very clean and have a TV, mini fridge, coffee machine, and one super powerful Thermal pump A/C unit, which you’ll use in Santorini’s heat. Free WiFi is available in the rooms and common areas.
