Villa Alexandra

We're back for our second year and still enjoying it. The rooms are clean and well equipped, and the backyard has lovely natural shade and direct access to the seafront. The water is clean, and the beach is usually used only by guests from the Villa and nearby houses. It's quiet and uncrowded, so you can enjoy Greece's natural beauty.

With the sea and beach right at the door, it's easy for kids to get outside and play. The garden gives them plenty of room and ways to keep busy, making the Villa a great fit for families.

We stayed at Villa Alexandra seven years ago and only stopped by briefly today to say hello. The lawn is still cut like an English golf course, and everything looks as neat and clean as it did when we were guests. The children's play equipment and features on the grass are still in perfect condition. You can see how much work the family puts into the place. For little kids, it's hard to imagine a better spot: the whole area is enclosed, so they can roam and play on the lawn or playground all day. The beach is the drawback. It's very small, with big rocks all along the entry, before you reach the sandy bottom and amazing green sea. The owners have made a roughly 3-by-3-meter platform from sandbags, plus a sandbag path across the stones. The kids love playing for hours on that little square in the sea, treating it like a game. That gives the parents a few relaxing moments too, since the area is cushioned and protected. It's a gem, and the people are great.

A lovely family hotel, with spacious, cozy and clean rooms. The garden is incredible, and the beach is reserved for guests.
