The hosts and staff were so friendly and helpful. We loved the setting by the beach, with beautiful views across the bay, and the beachside restaurant served a fabulous breakfast, food and drinks. The furnished rooms were lovely and spotlessly clean.

Madelina welcomes you like family and makes you feel that anything is possible. That warm hospitality is the cherry on top of a magical island stay. The hotel is right on the beach and close to the center of Elafonisos, so it’s easy to walk around town. There are 15 rooms, decorated in a relaxed beach style, and the beds made for a great night’s sleep. Step outside and you’re looking at Greece’s crystal-clear sea, ready for a peaceful swim. Other lovely beaches are within a 15-minute drive. There’s a full bar and a restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Just keep in mind it’s a seasonal hotel, so check when the restaurant is open.

You can walk straight onto the beach here, with sunbeds and umbrellas included at no extra cost. The little hotel and restaurant are also close to the ferry. We booked breakfast and could choose from several à la carte options, with juice and tea, coffee or hot chocolate. Simos beach, across the island, is definitely worth seeing.

We’ll be back to this little gem next time we’re in Greece. Magdalena and Gianni were such lovely hosts that we felt like family, and you can see the care they’ve put into making guests comfortable. Our clean, charming room had a beautiful little outdoor seating area, full of personal touches that made it feel peaceful. The restaurant was right in front and reasonably priced, with plenty to choose from. We had everything from bacon and eggs at breakfast to the best pizza and risotto we’ve ever eaten. The ingredients tasted like the finest quality.
