Everything exceeded what we could have imagined: the location, stone villas, food and owners. My friend and I came to escape the crowds for a couple of days, then ended up adding an extra night. The family running the place are super friendly, and the pool area is nice and never felt crowded. The mountain location has incredible views. One challenge is the narrow road over the cliffs that you have to drive on. If you're after something different from Crete's beaches, this is a great option. There's only wind mill power supply, so no aircon, but at this altitude it was surprisingly not a problem, even in the hot summer.

The owners were kind enough to let us bring our pets, and their hospitality was wonderful. The rooms, views and prices were all great, and it's a place worth visiting any time of year. We traveled in heavy snow. They had our rooms ready and heated, and even helped us reach the residents when the road was closed. An incredible experience, and we're very grateful.

A beautiful, peaceful place in Crete, perfect for relaxing, with extremely lovely owners. We ate at many places over three weeks, and this had one of the two best kitchens in Crete. All the best to the whole family. We'll definitely be back.
