Hotel Abc

The architecture is amazing, and the view is nice. Rooms are on the small side but comfortable. The location is ideal. The elevators feel cramped and could be a problem if you're going to a high floor. The restaurant area is small, though the food is delicious. The bar is comfortable and awesome, and the employees are warm.

The breakfast was a real highlight, with lots of tasty vegetarian choices such as sautéed mushrooms and other vegetables, bougatsa, Kalamata olives and feta. The desserts were great too, especially the panna cotta. My room had a beautiful view of Ano Poli, though the rooms aren't very spacious and the washrooms are fairly small. The staff were friendly and accommodating, particularly Giorgios Doumanis at the front desk and Yannis Baxevanidis in the restaurant. The hotel is close to the Arch of Galerius, also known today as “Kamara”, one of Thessaloniki's major Roman monuments. I did have an issue when I returned on July 13, 2025, at around 08:00 PM. The lobby was packed with tourists who had just arrived, and it took me a while to get through. Management and the front desk staff should have handled the crowd better to avoid inconveniencing guests.

The food was filling and plentiful, and the staff were so friendly they made it feel like home.

I was really pleased with my room, and everyone on staff was helpful and kind. Their restaurant suggestions genuinely made my visit to Thessaloniki better. Breakfast was good overall, though the coffee was quite bad. Luckily, there are some very nice coffee shops nearby.
