The staff were very friendly, breakfast was varied and very good, and the building has a lovely classic house feel with a modern interior. It's also wonderfully central, with everything within walking distance. Still, we came away expecting more because several practical details fell short. Breakfast was brought to the room, but there wasn't a proper place to eat it and the tray didn't fit on any table. The wardrobe hangers looked like a random bunch from a junkyard, which didn't suit a design-focused hotel. The bathroom sink was the biggest problem: water took ages to drain, and after shaving or brushing our teeth, debris floated around for minutes and residue stayed in the basin. It all looked modern, but wasn't very functional.

The suite was spacious, nicely decorated, and felt high quality. The hotel itself looked charming, in an excellent area, and the nearby parking made arriving by car convenient. Breakfast came to our room at 9:00 AM as expected, but there was no table in the large room, so we had to eat standing up. It was awkward, though manageable. That morning we spotted a few ants before going out and told reception, asking them to let housekeeping know so it could be handled during cleaning. We came back briefly a few times during the day, but at night, while packing for our checkout the next morning, we moved a bag and found a swarm of ants. There were dozens more under the bed sheet, crawling around the room. I asked reception to move us, but they said the hotel was full. When I asked what we should do, the receptionist suggested we'd eaten in the room and food leftovers had attracted them, saying ants were a natural consequence. I said it wasn't reasonable to sleep in a hotel room full of ants. He repeated that they couldn't do anything and blamed possible food remains. It seemed especially strange to blame guests for eating in the room when breakfast is delivered there and there's nowhere set up to eat. We had to spend the night in that same room with our 3-month-old baby, after arguing with the front desk just to get fresh bedding. The experience was so unpleasant, and the staff offered neither a suitable solution nor empathy. It overshadowed every good thing the hotel might have had to offer.

The “beyond room” was wonderful, with gorgeous decor and a really comfy bed. The building is beautiful and right in the heart of the city center. The staff were friendly and ready to help with anything we needed. Absolutely loved it and would come back.

A lovely suite in a fantastic downtown Thessaloniki location, and the AC worked perfectly. Everyone on staff was so kind and helpful. Breakfast was great, and on my departure morning they even packed a little lunchbox for me to take to the airport. I'd recommend it.
