South Beach Villas

A car is highly recommended. Gennadi village, with lots of dining options, is a five-minute drive away, and Prasonisi beach is 20 minutes by car. There’s also a nice beach bar within walking distance. The villa has a great, large private pool, with sunbeds and water toys provided. The rooms were all very clean, and there was lots of space for one family: three bedrooms with double beds and two bathrooms.

This is a great base for exploring the south of Rhodes independently. One person in our group rented a bicycle and rode almost every day; others went horse riding at nearby Elpida Ranch, and some hiked up Mount Attavyros. We ate out in Lachania, Gennadi, or Lindos in the evenings when we weren’t cooking. The beach just in front is more of a shoreline, though the island’s best natural beach is easy to reach by car. Despite the main road nearby, we barely noticed it. We spent a wonderful week here in October 2025, renting two of the three houses for our group of ten. The villas are modern, very well maintained, and functionally furnished, with all appliances and switches working perfectly. Stefanos was friendly, helpful, communicative, and quick to respond to last-minute requests. When we asked, he even brought us a barbecue grill. Behind the houses there’s a small solar park that supplies electricity and heats the pool, which was very welcome in October. I’ve stayed in five holiday villas around Gennadi over the past few years, and this one is my favorite. We’d love to stay here for at least a week on our next visit to Rhodes. :-D

The way into the villas is a little awkward and easy to miss from the road. It’s a dirt road on the right, about 100 m before Mojito Bar. There are three lovely villas, two with two bedrooms and the middle one with three. Each has air-conditioning, window mosquito nets, a kitchen, washing machine, living room, TV, Wi-Fi, and a heated pool 1.5 metres deep. If you want a secluded place away from the tourist crowds in Rhodes Town or Faleraki, this is a good fit. Just diagonally across the road and within walking distance is the relaxed Mojito Beach Bar, with good food, drinks, and a laid-back atmosphere. A car is essential. Stefanos, the owner, is easy-going and helpful, and had already stocked the fridge with essentials. It makes sense to shop on your way from the airport, at Lidl or somewhere similar in Rhodes, or at Sklaventis near Lindos on the road to South Beach Villas. That saves a trip north to shop.

The pool was great, the sea only a few minutes’ walk away, and the house was very clean with everything we needed. Stefanos was attentive and always available, while still keeping in the background. He shared lots of island tips, and every recommendation was excellent. He’d even put breakfast essentials in the fridge for our first morning. We felt welcome and completely at ease, and it was one of our best holidays ever. We usually choose somewhere different each time to discover new things, but if we return to Rhodes, we’ll definitely book with Stefanos again.
