Summer 2025 was my fourth trip to a Greek island and my fifth stay in Greece overall. This hotel was a letdown, especially for a property rated four stars in a European country. The staff, apart from the owner, were genuinely friendly and worked hard to make guests feel welcome. The location was good, too. But the hotel itself felt run-down, poorly maintained, and in need of renovation and fresh energy. The food reminded me of a basic cafeteria, ranging from decent to below average. The juices were the worst I’ve had at any hotel. During the day, bar drinks came only in very small plastic cups, which didn’t feel up to a four-star standard. Our room hadn’t been properly cleaned when we arrived, though they fixed that after I complained. The AC wasn’t working either, but the staff dealt with it quickly once we reported it. The team deserves credit for their effort, but the hotel itself didn’t meet my expectations for a four-star stay.

Laganas Beach is huge, with a very gentle slope into the sea and hardly any waves, so it’s great for swimming, families with little kids, or just floating around. If you like a quieter atmosphere, June is a good time to visit; July and August are livelier. At the hotel, the food was very good. We had all inclusive for seven days, and I don’t think lunch or dinner mains repeated at all. Breakfast was a bit samey, though there was still plenty to choose from. The staff were lovely, always helpful, and even happy to help me practise Greek. The hotel was quiet at night, with no noise from outside or other guests. Management clearly takes care to keep things peaceful, and I really appreciated that. Our room was just big enough, the bed was comfortable, and daily cleaning was thorough. A little more storage would have been useful, but it wasn’t a big deal. I had a wonderful stay.

The pool was beautiful and the food was lovely. It’s sunny and lush here, and really quiet. Everyone was very friendly too.

The pool was nice, and the rooms were pleasant and kept clean. The food and location were good, and most of the staff were kind. I did get bed bug bites on my legs, though.

We had a great week here with a group of 15, despite getting worried by some of the reviews before we arrived. The family who runs the hotel were warm and welcoming, and check-in was quick and easy. The rooms were comfortable and cleaned every day. The air conditioning worked perfectly, although there wasn’t much room for clothes. The food was fresh and tasty. It’s not a luxury five-star place with loads of options, but we never left hungry, and the service was excellent, with plates cleared as soon as we’d finished. At the bar, there’s a list by the counter and at reception showing which drinks and cocktails are included in all inclusive. Anything else costs extra. The cocktails were tasty and refreshing, though not especially strong. You’re expected to follow the owner’s rules, as you would at any hotel, and he’ll warn you if you break them. We rented cars and quads at the hotel twice. The vehicles were in good condition and worked well, so we’d recommend them. The clean pool is open until 8 pm, and there are sunbeds and umbrellas. A bit more wardrobe space would help, and signs saying not to enter the bar in wet clothes would make that rule clearer. We had a lovely holiday. Big thanks to Agi and his family for making it memorable. The photo below says it all for us! Lots of love, Team Olive Oil
