Tzante Hotel Zakynthos - Adults Only

We were unsure about Laganas because of its reputation as a young, lively resort, but friends said it feels quite different outside peak season. They were right, and we’re glad we booked Hotel Tzante. It’s in the middle of everything, a short walk from the beach, yet our room was quiet. The rooms were modern and spotless, with the feel of a five star hotel. The family who own and run the place were often around, and their care showed in the details and standards throughout. They clearly care about their guests. We also liked the stylish bar and the pool bar, which served drinks and food all day at very reasonable prices. Breakfast was fresh and tasty each morning, with cooked or continental choices, a help yourself buffet, and plenty of options that were regularly replenished. We could put together an English breakfast or choose cheeses, fruit, vegetables, pancakes, filled crepes, bruschettas, and other snacks. We couldn’t find fault with the stay and will definitely return.

We stayed at Tzante hotel for two weeks after getting married in Zante, and were really happy with our stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. They let our guests come over to get ready for the wedding, then decorated our room with flower petals. When we came back, there was a bucket of ice and a bottle of Martini waiting for us. The pool area was fantastic, and the snack bar food and drinks were really good. The room could use a little TLC, but it was clean, and that mattered most. I’d definitely return 🙂

The staff made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived. My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Tzante Hotel in Laganas. Our room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable, and the pool was perfect for relaxing. It’s well placed for the beach and lots of restaurants. We’d come back, and would recommend it to couples who want some fun along with time to relax.

We stayed for 12 days and left with a lot more than we expected. The staff were kind, smiling, and helpful throughout, and the hotel felt welcoming at every step. The location is right in the center. Housekeeping came daily, and the pool bar had nice drinks and tasteful music, a welcome change from the youth and club focused music scene in town. Our suite with jacuzzi was modern, clean, and beautifully designed. It wasn’t very big, but was more than enough for us. The terrace sunbeds and jacuzzi were lifesavers at times. We had a lovely sea view, with planes landing in the distance over the runway. It was scenic, and surprisingly not noisy. We’d asked ahead for a quiet room, and the hotel arranged one for us, which we appreciated. The room was quiet, too. It had an iron and ironing board, laundry and washing bags, disposable slippers, and shower gel, shampoo, and body lotion that were replenished regularly. Breakfast was included and consistently delicious. There were plenty of fresh options, topped up often, including ingredients for an English breakfast, cheese, fresh vegetables and fruit, pancakes, filled crepes, bruschettas, and changing snacks. Coffee, juice, and lemon or cucumber water were always available. We never got tired of breakfast, since there was enough variety to mix it up each day. The town is heavily focused on clubs, and felt more suited to teens and people in their early twenties. We’re in our thirties and forties and like to party, but the mainstream nightlife wasn’t for us. The beach bars were good, though. We also found lots of beautiful places around the island, and strongly recommend renting a car and taking a boat. Exploring the whole island that way was absolutely worth it.
