Utopia II

We booked at the last minute for our family of four and were happy with the choice. It’s clean, comfortable, and quiet, with the beach an easy walk away and the busy strip far enough off. George and his family are wonderful hosts and do everything they can to make sure you have a great holiday.

George was a great host, and we couldn’t have asked for anyone better. You can walk to the beach and main strip in a short time, but the place is far enough away that you don’t hear the noise. The air conditioning works really well for a small extra charge. Great location for a nice holiday, I’d recommend it without hesitation and will definitely return.

The pool was the highlight at Zante 523 in Laganas, Zakynthos. It was well kept and peaceful, a nice place to unwind despite being so close to Laganas’ lively clubs. Our host, George, was genuinely kind and helpful, always there for questions or concerns, and made us feel welcome from the start. There were a few drawbacks in the rooms. Some things seemed old, including rusty cutlery, and there was no dishwasher soap. The toilet was quite small, which may not suit anyone wanting more space or comfort. Air conditioning also cost extra, around 5-7 euros a day, which can add up in Zakynthos heat. It was a mixed stay. If you value a friendly host and quiet pool area and can live with some dated room details, it could be a decent choice. Just factor in the extra charge for air conditioning.

After leaving a hotel that had really disappointed us, my friend and I looked around and found ZANTE 523. I spoke to the one and only Mr George on the phone, and getting a place for two was no problem. The family’s kindness and hospitality made me feel at home. It’s well placed, not far from the beach, bars, and clubs. Thanks to George and the family. We’ll definitely come back. Greetings from Amsterdam.
