The beaches and sea views around South East Crete are stunning. We loved having our own garden and private pool at Artemis villa, and often ate breakfast on the terrace. It also had all the cooking appliances we needed.

We stayed in the largest of the three villas, Aeolus villa, and had the whole house to ourselves, including a private pool that staff cleaned daily. It had everything we needed, and the owners were lovely, offering us chilled wine and fruit. The setting on Lagada's cliff is peaceful and works well for families or friends, while Makry Gialos is only about 5 minutes away by car. Definitely recommend it!

The view was fantastic, and our hostess was so helpful. She was waiting for us to guide us to our destination. The villa was very clean, and we had a really pleasant stay. I'd highly recommend it!

The cleanliness of the house was poor, and I found spiders in some rooms. There weren't any cleaning products either. Then, around 8:30 on the morning we left, a man suddenly came into our private yard to clean the pool. He said he couldn't do it while we were still there.
