Paros Comfy Suites

I really liked the quiet, isolated setting, and the private beachfront was a peaceful place to unwind, whether you’re traveling solo like I was or as a couple. I’d recommend having a car to explore the island, though my scooter worked fine. Just be mindful of the wind. I had a great three-day stay at Paros Comfy Suites. The suite was spotless, and the restaurant food was delicious and beautifully presented. The staff welcomed me warmly, showed me to my suite, and made sure I felt looked after. I’d definitely come back.

We loved the water filters around the property, so we could refill our bottles whenever we wanted. The staff were terrific too, helping with our early check-in, scooter rental and a few reservations. The hotel is gorgeous and right on the beach, with Naoussa only about five minutes away by scooter. Our particular room was a bit tight, as I already knew from the booking details, but it was spotless and very nice.

The setting was quiet and intimate, with only a few rooms, and the small parking area was easy to reach and close to our room. We loved the calm beach and beautiful sunsets. It felt like a genuine, thoughtfully run retreat. Our suite was spacious and well equipped, with a private heated pool and comfortable loungers. Everything was spotless, and the queen bed was comfortable, although its mattress was a little thin. The bathroom could use a better layout: the shower door is narrow and water got onto the floor, and the toilet area felt cramped. Breakfast was included and offered a tasty à la carte selection from 8:00 to 10:15 am. The eggs came from the hotel’s chickens just steps from the dining area, and they grow vegetables on-site too. Service could be slow, probably because there was only one server, but they were always friendly and accommodating. The staff were kind and attentive, sharing local tips, maps and recommendations. We appreciated the eco-friendly approach once we understood it, though it would help to know ahead of time that things like changing beach towels cost a small fee. The sheets were quite light, so a duvet or comforter would be a welcome addition. We truly loved our stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful spot in a beautiful location.

There was mold in one of the showers, which was disgusting and unacceptable. The other room had hair in the shower and a strange smell. Housekeeping left cleaning bottles in our rooms on different days, and the cleaning itself wasn’t done properly. This was my third visit and my last. I first stayed in 2020 and 2021, when I thought the hotel was amazing. It gradually went downhill after that, and I suspect the management change had something to do with it. We booked two rooms, and the hotel also seemed seriously understaffed. At breakfast, the room maintenance person brought out food but couldn’t take orders, leaving us to wait for the cook, who was busy preparing meals. About half the breakfast menu is now egg dishes, so if you don’t like eggs, the choices are pretty limited to croissants and fruit. The hotel is far too expensive for what it offers. It hurts to see a hotel that used to be great decline so much in just five years. Never again. It really had a negative effect on our holiday.
