Amfitriti Hotel

It’s only about a five-minute walk into Lakka, on a route that avoids the main roads. I had such a lovely stay here and can’t recommend it enough. The rooms are simple but comfortable and clean, with gorgeous bay views. The staff were so friendly and kind, especially Marilly, who made my trip feel extra special.

The walk into lovely little Lakka takes about five minutes along an easy path with nice sea views. To get to one of Paxos’s best beaches, just head down the stairs, and free sunbeds are a great extra. We couldn’t have picked a better place to start our holiday. The rooms are basic but have what you need, the beds are comfortable, and the balcony view is amazing. The owner and staff made us feel so welcome. We got a good, well-equipped room, lovely views, a great location, and such welcoming people.

Lakka’s charming little village is just a five-minute walk away, which was so convenient. The beach is about two minutes away down some steps, but it’s easy enough to reach. The water was among the clearest I’ve seen, and hotel guests get two free sunbeds and an umbrella, which saved us a lot. Victoria and Olga were lovely with our son, and the beach service was top notch. Everyone on staff was wonderful and went out of their way to help us. Our room was basic, as you’d expect on a Greek island, but had everything we needed: air conditioning, a comfy bed, a fridge, and a small kitchenette. It was cleaned every day to a very high standard. We’d read complaints about the shower, but ours had hot water and good pressure. We’d definitely come back 🫶

The walk into the village only takes a few minutes. It’s along a bumpy dirt track with some lighting, but we found it fine. If you rent a car or moped, leave it in the village, since the drive down to Amfitriti is like a vertical corkscrew. The hotel can pick you up from the ferry, so there’s no need to worry about that. Amfitriti isn’t perfect: parts of the hotel have seen better days, the hillside steps can be steep, and the shower can be hit and miss. Still, we loved it and would return. It’s good value for a typical Greek island self-catering stay right by the beach, with free air conditioning, free sunbeds, and beach service from the hotel bar. The staff are friendly, and the view keeps changing as boats and yachts come and go in Lakka.
