The pool, set against that lovely scenery, was such a fun bonus. We also loved wandering around the tiny village, with its fruit trees and hiking paths, and the August evenings were pleasantly cool. Nota and Sofia made us feel so welcome, taking time to explain things and looking after us with real kindness. The restaurant food was delicious, with little extras coming from the kitchen too. We really didn't want to leave. Thanks for such generous hospitality, we'd love to return!

The trip up the mountain is an adventure on its own, and the setting is lovely. It stays pleasantly cool in summer. Everyone was so friendly and helpful that we felt right at home. Be sure to try the excellent food at the taverna.

Kara, who owns the place, was lovely, and the food at her tavern was amazing. We had a great stay. It's quiet and very clean, a good fit if you want to relax away from busy tourist areas. Even the drive in gives you beautiful mountain views.

We came here last summer and it felt like a little escape from time. The hotel is tucked away in the mountains, wild and wonderfully peaceful, and the rooms and the whole place were lovely. The family team were always ready to lend a hand. Breakfast and dinner were fantastic, with fresh Cretan food and wonderful local ingredients. Greece and Crete really are magical. Thank you for everything!

Our flight came in late, and after a long, somewhat treacherous drive we didn't arrive until almost midnight. The staff had waited for us and even prepared a fantastic dinner. The rooms had a modern, rustic decor, and were clean and fairly spacious. From our windows we could see the pool and mountains, and we even watched the sunrise from bed. Best hospitality experience ever!
