Costa Lindia Beach

The hotel looked lovely in the pictures and travel agency descriptions. We were tempted by the refresh and renovation from last year and booked a long-awaited holiday there. We had planned the trip carefully, but when we arrived, our reservation, which we'd fully paid for a month earlier, simply wasn't there. We'd paid 18 thousand, and were told they'd move us to the hotel next door for four days. There was total chaos at reception, no apology, and a family beside us was in the same situation. We weren't the only ones. No one could explain what had happened to the booking, only that it was missing. They said the money would be given back, but it had vanished from the account just like the reservation. If you take one family holiday a year, are you supposed to be happy packing everything again in the middle of the week to move hotels? We felt disgusted, angry and frustrated. Other people kept arriving and getting rooms without a problem, while ours was nowhere to be found. You ruined our holiday and our daughter's too. She knew exactly where she wanted to spend it, and you didn't even think to check on us during the whole week. The hotel may be nice, but the service, organization, and way they treat people who've paid their hard-earned money hoping for a wonderful holiday are the worst. I absolutely don't recommend it. If you have a booking there, check it five times so you don't end up kissing the doorknob.

The resort is beautiful and new, but some things fell short of five-star standards. We couldn't book any of the restaurants that require reservations during our entire week, and reception didn't help us with it. That's very strange. The beach towels were also inconvenient: you had to walk a distance to exchange them, and there was no exchange point on the beach. When we reported that the air conditioner wasn't working, reception didn't help, and the children slept in the room with no one seeming to care. Towels weren't changed on the first day either. I reported the issues to TUI, and their response was quick and excellent. The food was quite repetitive and not what I'd expect from a five-star place, though Maria and Eva in the restaurant were kind and wonderful. The bar was great with Anisia, but didn't feel like a five-star bar. The resort itself is beautiful, but these are things that shouldn't be an issue at a five-star resort.

I had booked months ahead and spent ages looking forward to a relaxing break, but when I arrived there was no room for me. They said they were fully booked despite my confirmed reservation, and offered no acceptable alternative. I was left with nowhere to stay, and the holiday I'd saved and planned for was ruined. The staff were indifferent and didn't apologize. They treated me like another problem to deal with, with no regard for all the planning and saving I'd put into this trip. This hotel's overbooking and greedy, careless policies show complete disregard for guests. It's unacceptable and unprofessional. I'd tell anyone who doesn't want their holiday ruined like mine to stay far away. Absolutely disgraceful.

Avoid this place, especially if you're from Poland! We were given a smelly basement room instead of one with a sea view. After I spent two hours trying to find the manager, she just said we should be happy with it or change hotels. She didn't even apologize.
