Olympus Terra Boutique Hotel

I booked four nights in April 2024 while traveling solo from Australia and exploring Larissa. I’ve stayed in five-star hotels before, and this one gave me a very good experience. The breakfast option is worth adding. My room was quiet, even the lift was exceptionally quiet, and the bed was remade daily with fresh towels. Bus 7 runs between the hotel and Larissa city center. The staff were happy to share the timetable, and I used the service to connect with other city buses and visit the museums. As an agriculturalist in Oenology, I especially appreciated that the hotel arranged a visit to Greece’s oldest agricultural vocational school, Averofios Farm School, at my request. I’m very grateful for that. When I come back, I’ll bring my wife so she can enjoy the hospitality and five-star service too.

Having your own vehicle makes this a great hotel choice. There’s parking on site, and it’s not far from the city. The rooms are tidy and clean, service is on point, and there are plenty of amenities. Breakfast is good quality too. A good base for exploring Larissa.

I stayed here on January 10, 2024. It’s a very new, nice hotel, and my room was comfortable and very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful, and they spoke English. Breakfast was included, filling, and very good, with eggs, meats, cheeses, breads, cereal, yogurt, jams, desserts, coffee, and orange juice. The hotel is still in town on a main street, and there’s plenty of fenced-in, free parking off the street. Thanks, Rick.

There’s no water-heating device in the rooms, and there was no service or hospitality. Rooms without balconies aren’t ventilated. They charged for minibar water, even though I thought it was free everywhere. There was no no-smoking sign, so we smoked on the first day. We smoked on the following days too, but were then charged a large amount of money. Breakfast costs 20 euros, which felt opportunistic. In short, it was a terrible hotel.
