Cape Sounio, A Grecotel Resort to Live

Being so close to the historical monuments made the stay feel even more magical and enriching. The location is ideal for relaxing and enjoying the quiet atmosphere. We found the hotel comfortable, with outstanding services, and the caring, attentive team made us feel welcome throughout. We had an exceptional stay at Capo Sounio (Grecotel), and would gladly recommend it.

The kind, welcoming staff added a lot to our stay, and it was easy to get around the property. Being surrounded by nature made the whole place feel even more relaxing. The architecture is thoughtfully designed, with stunning views and a real sense of serenity. There are several places to dine, but the food needs more variety and better quality to match the hotel’s overall standard. I hope management works on this, as it would make the experience much better.

Yali was our favourite place to eat, with its romantic setting and amazing fish dishes. Breakfast had plenty of choice, though we didn’t think the dinner buffet was worth the price. The food was very good otherwise, and being by the pool and beach was a pleasure. The grounds were immaculate, the views breathtaking, and we were lucky to get an upgrade to a temple view room. I’d highly recommend that view, it was one of the best I’ve had. The staff were fantastic and so attentive. I don’t think we ever waited more than 30 seconds for a glass of water. There were a few small issues. The room could have been cleaned a bit better, and the large TV couldn’t connect to WiFi or Netflix, so there were only a few channels. On our rainy day, we would have liked to watch a film. We had to send back the room service meal, the only food we had there that wasn’t good. The wine tasting was listed in the app all week and mentioned to us at breakfast that day, but when we arrived it had been cancelled and no one seemed to know. They do offer a range of daily activities, which is a nice touch. It isn’t a cheap stay, so those little things are worth mentioning, but they wouldn’t stop me coming back. We loved the break and both felt properly relaxed. The hotel has a special feel I haven’t found in many others.

The grounds are so well looked after, full of pine trees that smell gorgeous. You can tell the person who designed this hotel loved nature and paid attention to detail. We stayed for a whole week, and it’s a gorgeous place. Our room was beautiful and very clean. Iryna and Ariana from the breakfast restaurant, Ioanna at Reception, the bar staff and Management at the beach bar, and Konstantinos the Somelier all made our stay extra special. TOP CLASS employees. Thank you for making little spiderman feel special all the time. We’ll be back.
