Catherine's Comfort Apartment No1

A spotless, spacious and beautiful apartment. It’s close to the port, shops, and restaurants, and only 30 minutes from the airport.

Great value for money!

There were four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a huge open-plan living room and kitchen, and a lovely big covered balcony. The apartment in Lavrio (Greece) was beautiful, modernly furnished, and very clean. It was equipped with everything we might need in the kitchen. I’d gladly stay there again. Thank you.

If you're staying in Lavrio, Catherine's apartments are an excellent option. Mine was spacious, bright, and well furnished, with a big terrace sheltered from the sometimes very strong Melteni wind. It was on the third floor of a modern building close to the port, in an area being redeveloped. Some ruins nearby give a sense of the old industrial city's architecture and its mining past. The main street's many shops are also a short walk away, but the windows keep out the noise. The kitchen was very functional, and the bathroom was comfortable despite having no bidet. There was air conditioning, though I didn't use it, preferring to leave the shutters ajar in the pleasant October weather. The smaller bedroom was cramped, with a double bed making it hard even to open the door. Covered parking is available, but the entrance is very narrow and could damage the car or walls. The police station is across the street, which isn't a bad thing. Lavrio itself doesn't offer much reason to visit beyond its location as a base for the Cyclades. Many charter companies, especially sailing boat rentals, are based there, and ferries leave for the islands. One sound I enjoyed was the echo of the nearby parish bells marking the hours and calling people to prayer, something that's almost disappeared where we live.
