Ionion Star Hotel

The walls are REALLY thin. I could hear the neighbours having a normal conversation, even though they weren't being loud. Also, one glass door was missing from the shower, so the bathroom floor got wet every time. The rest was pretty good: the hotel is right in the center, and my harbour-facing room had a lovely view, especially at sunrise. Breakfast was decent, the room was serviced daily, and there was a hairdryer and free shower gel in the bathroom. Slippers would have been nice, but it wasn't a big deal. The pool was clean too.

We booked three nights and left after just one. The rooms were old and run-down, and the bed was the most uncomfortable I've ever slept in. The pool area smelled bad, and the seat cushions were stained. The front desk staff were rude and very unhelpful. Calling this a four-star hotel is so misleading. It was absolutely terrible, and I wouldn't spend money here.

The street-facing rooms are noisy, though the view helps a little. The rooms and bathrooms also feel dated, even though everything was generally clean and they came in daily with fresh towels and sheets. With the meal package, it seemed like quantity mattered more than quality. I don't know why they served Danish cheese instead of feta unless they were trying to save money. It's very well located, and we were satisfied overall, but by international standards I wouldn't call it a four-star hotel.

I really liked the pool, and the room wasn't bad. Breakfast and dinner were good too, though dinner was only included if you were with a guide. Three staff members were especially sweet to my family and me. We visited with my family a month ago, and at first we were a bit disappointed, particularly about the parking area. We didn't park there, but it looked like lots of people got fines, so be careful if you park near the hotel. I still enjoyed our stay. It was a great trip! With all respects, Georgia❤️
