Belvedere Aeolis

The food and service were great, and the staff were very attentive. The rooms are old-fashioned but cozy. When it’s warm, though, being so far from Molivos gets difficult. The shuttle only runs four times a day, which doesn’t feel like enough.

We had a lovely family holiday here. The setting is picturesque and just a short way from Molyvos. The hotel was comfortable, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.

The hotel sits on a beautiful hilly property, with wonderful views over the sea and Turkey. There’s a little beach with loungers a short walk downhill. The family room was spacious, and the place was dated but clean, which suited us. The bathroom, though, was tiny and looked like it came straight from the 70s, it reminded me of my grandparents’ place. There’s also a noisy air conditioning unit on the terrace, which was disappointing. My main problem was the bed. The mattress was hard as concrete, and I didn’t sleep well once. All the mattress toppers were out on loan, so none were available. It seems easy enough to fix, but apparently it’s a common complaint and nothing has changed. Meals were generally okay, although the bread was dry and tasteless.

The staff were so lovely and friendly, and the room was very clean. The air conditioning worked perfectly, though it leaked outside. Getting around the hotel was easy, and the infinity pool had a lovely view of Turkey, but it could’ve been cleaner. The jacuzzi was broken, with water still in it, dirt at the bottom and loads of dead flies. The food was okay and warm, but dishes weren’t labelled, just shown in pictures. Drinks were nice, though the selection was limited, and I didn’t like the cheap, thin plastic cups by the pool. The beds and pillows were really uncomfortable. The shower was bad too, either the water was cold with no hot water, or the pressure was very weak. The hotel is a bit out of the way. There’s a shuttle, but it only has seven seats and doesn’t take you right into town, so you still have a 5-10 minute walk, which can be horrible in the heat. The massage was amazing, but the treatment room was right by reception and could be loud. The WiFi wasn’t great either.
