Poseidon Resort Hotel

We had a really lovely stay, and everything ran smoothly. The hotel was quiet while we were there, which we enjoyed, and there were always plenty of sunbeds around 9am. The beach is only about a minute’s walk away. The staff were lovely, including at the bar, and the receptionist booked us a cab to the nearest town. The modern rooms were clean, with a kettle, hairdryer, body wash, and lotion, though it felt odd not to have tea or coffee. The shower was frustrating, swinging from quite hot to very cold. There isn’t much entertainment, which was fine for us. Food was good and there were plenty of choices, though the meat wasn’t the best quality. Cocktails were hit and miss depending on who made them, with about 6-8 options. Daytime snacks could be better: there was ice cream, then a half sandwich in the fridge, either ham and cheese or a vegetarian cheese and salad one. There was no food after dinner ended at 9:30pm. A few small improvements to the snacks, shower, and tea and coffee in the room could make it a five-star hotel.

We had a great family holiday at Poseidon Sea Resort. The hotel is beautifully designed, and the rooms were spotless, with daily cleaning. Staff were always friendly and helpful. The all-inclusive food was varied and fine, and the wood-oven pizzas were the highlight. The kids loved having ice cream all day, the pool, and the clean beach, where there were always plenty of sunbeds. There’s also a handy picnic option if you head out for the day. Special thanks to Vasili, the medic, who took such good care of our son after he fell. We had a very positive stay and highly recommend it.

The setting made a big impression on us: Poseidon Sea Resort Hotel sits right beside the sea, surrounded by thick forest in Sithonia, Halkidiki. The water was crystal clear, with a natural seabed that brought in lots of fish, so it was great for snorkeling. The food and the Aegean scenery were lovely too. More than anything, we remember how welcome everyone made us feel. Mr. Spiros in the dining service and Ms. Maria at reception were always smiling and kind. We also enjoyed talking with Maitre Mr. Yannis, Mr. Yannis Senior (owner), and his daughter. At every meal, Mr. Yannis Senior was there at his table, greeting guests and keeping an attentive eye on things. The whole team was helpful and made us feel at home. The atmosphere was easygoing but still professional, and it made the holiday all the better. We left very happy with the experience and hope to come back for another stay. Thanks to all the staff for making it so memorable.

The food was a real highlight at Poseidon Resort, fresh and delicious, and we looked forward to eating each time. The team also made a big difference. Anna at reception was cheerful, helpful, and accommodating, while Spiro in the restaurant was attentive and friendly and really looked after us. From the warm welcome when we arrived to the peaceful, relaxing feel of the place, it was an easy holiday and a good chance to recharge. We loved our stay and would happily come back again. I'd recommend it to anyone after a quiet getaway and kind hospitality.
