Ermioni Hotel

We could hear people walking around in the rooms above and nearby because the walls were quite thin, which took away from the peace and quiet. The hotel is also beside the main road, so it was noisier than we'd expected. On the plus side, the rooms were clean, towels were replaced daily and housekeeping was attentive. It's within walking distance of everything in the village, and the receptionist was friendly and spoke good English, so communication was easy.

The beach is no more than a five-minute walk away, and the little balcony has a table and chairs. There's a main road nearby, but it's not a motorway, and there was hardly any traffic at night. I'm a light sleeper and had no trouble with the road noise, even with the windows open some nights. The family running the hotel were very friendly. Our room was a good size, clean and cleaned daily, with a reasonably comfortable bed and some cupboard space. The rooms and bathrooms are a bit dated, and I think the price could be lower for what you get. Still, it's okay for a comfortable night's sleep after a long beach day. On our first day a fire started in the garden, probably because somebody threw a cigarette into the very dry undergrowth. It looked like it might get out of control, but thankfully my fellow guests and the owners helped keep it in check until the fire brigade arrived. Nothing nearby in the infrastructure was damaged.

I haven't been inside, but it's in a nice spot, right next to the road and less than a 10-minute walk from the beach.

The rooms were old and miserable, and the bathroom was worse, with a broken shower. Being so close to the road made it loud. Low water pressure caused problems with both the shower and toilet. They also wanted the full price for the stay as soon as we arrived. It wasn't worth the price. I wouldn't recommend it or come back.
