It was a peaceful, affordable place in Paleokastritsa, with genuine Greek hospitality. Vila Maria is just a short walk from Rovinia Beach, with nature around it, yet the main spots in Paleokastritsa are still nearby. The owner was lovely and helpful, sharing suggestions for beaches, restaurants, and hidden places around Corfu. The staff were friendly too, and made me feel at home. My room was comfortable, clean, and well equipped. It had a fridge, kettle, and things for making coffee or tea, handy for a relaxed morning before heading to the beach. I'd happily recommend Vila Maria in Paleokastritsa for couples, solo travelers, or anyone wanting to experience Corfu's authentic charm.

The hosts were very welcoming and attentive, and helped us discover an authentic Greek experience that made the trip more special. The place was clean and in good condition, nothing luxurious, but perfectly fine for the price. It's also very close to Paleokastritsa, one of the loveliest areas in Corfu. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend it.

This was the worst stay I've had in over 10 years of travelling, even though I often choose budget places. Our room bore no resemblance to the Booking.com description or photos. We couldn't reach the host when we arrived, and there was no clear sign of which room was ours. Following the check-in instructions on the Booking page, we took the room with a key in the door. It later turned out to be a cheaper, lower-standard room. The one I had booked was occupied by other guests, and nobody had told us. It seemed like no one was properly managing the place. The room was in terrible shape. There weren't proper doors, just a mosquito net in the wall and a sliding panel. They shook all night in the wind and storms, and the noise made sleep impossible. The shower had only a small base and no curtain, and its head sprayed water everywhere, so the bathroom flooded each time. There was also a strong sewage smell. The host's communication was completely unprofessional. She was very nice at first, but changed her attitude when I reported the problems. She said she could move us to the next room if things continued, as if that would somehow fix the hole in the wall. When I asked for the room I had originally booked, she stopped replying to messages and calls. That evening she finally sent a short message saying we could move next door. We had no choice, but there was no double bed in that room, so we had to sleep separately as a couple. The kitchen was full of ants, the air was humid, and there were mosquitoes everywhere. It was impossible to relax, and the whole stay was uncomfortable and stressful. After we left, I complained to Booking.com and asked for a partial refund. The host never responded to the claim, so I got only a 12% refund, paid by Booking.com rather than her. I have many years of experience in the hospitality industry, and in my professional opinion this place doesn't meet even basic standards for cleanliness, comfort, or hospitality. I don't think it should be listed on any accommodation website.

The location was quiet and peaceful at night, while still close to restaurants and local shops. The apartment was spotless and spacious, just as described, and the host was kind, helpful, and available whenever we needed something. We felt at home and would love to return. Highly recommended!
