Avra Hotel

The garden was colorful and clearly well cared for, and the pool was a big hit with my little daughter since it wasn’t quite beach season. My wife and I had a great stay at Hotel Avra, and I’d choose it again.

We really enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was generous and very good, and the host was so polite. She also helped us figure out places to see in Lefkada. The room was spotless, with fresh towels and bed linen every two days and daily cleaning. Highly recommend it.

The garden is lovely, full of flowers, and there’s a small pool and lots of parking. Though the hotel is tucked into a residential area among houses, our room was spotless, comfortable, and very spacious, with a huge balcony and the biggest double bed I’ve ever seen. Breakfast had local items and a continental section with eggs and bacon, but nothing was kept warm, which was a shame. The coffee was terrible. I asked for Greek coffee, which cost 1.5 euro extra and wasn’t included. I think they could have offered it, though I understand it’s a business.

Our mornings started with the hostess greeting us with a warm “kalimera” and asking how our island days were going. That friendly welcome made us feel at home, and the staff were helpful from the moment we arrived, even sharing tips for planning trips around the island. The hotel sits in a peaceful spot among flowers and grass, and our cute room was very clean. Breakfast was the best ever, too. I’d recommend it 100%. The photo is the view from our room.
