Elinotel Polis Hotel

A decent hotel in a handy spot, near the beach and lots of shops. The food was good. The beds weren’t very comfortable, and the shower leaked a little. Nothing special, but pretty decent and I’d recommend it.

Please stay away from this hotel. I booked four nights, but when I arrived the rooms were very dirty and had a rotten smell. The food also seemed spoiled and smelled sour. I asked for my money back that same day and left. Better to pay more for your health.

The reception staff were the one good part. They did their best to help, and we appreciate that since the hotel’s condition wasn’t their fault. The place hasn’t been renovated since it was built, and in my opinion it isn’t worth any stars, let alone three. I guess in Greece they buy stars. The rooms were awful, with old furniture, rusty showers, and mold on the ceiling. Things broke or fell off when touched. The food was poor quality. There was a bar, but nobody there to serve drinks. The hotel had no internet for a whole week, and our fridge didn’t work for four days. The manager never showed up at the hotel.

The rooms were poorly cleaned, especially the bathroom, and the Booking photos only showed the nicest parts, not the rooms or the actual food served. Breakfast and dinner had bad choices, and I had some stomach problems, most likely from the food. When I asked for hot water to make tea, they refused to give me any. This was the worst hotel experience I’ve had in all of Greece, a nightmare for our family of four, including the kids. I wouldn’t go back on vacation there.
