Katouna Suites Luxury Boutique Hotel

You’ll definitely need a car to get around. This is a beautiful boutique hotel with large, clean rooms and amazing views. The view from our room was the best part, and the place was really relaxing. Layti, Claudia, and the rest of the staff gave amazing service.

Every apartment has a stunning view, and the hotel itself is beautiful and peaceful. The staff were friendly and helpful. I’d highly recommend it, especially if you hire a car, as that lets you explore the surrounding area.

The food was excellent at breakfast and lunch. The chef made brilliant breakfasts, and lunch had enough variety that we could eat there for several days without getting tired of the menu. Beds were comfortable, both in the room and on the loungers. The air conditioning worked very well, keeping the rooms cool even when it was roasting outside. Private gates, open only to guests, gave the complex good security. The service was exemplary, especially from Latey (sp.). Staff couldn’t have done more to make us feel welcome and relaxed. Nothing was too much trouble, and they balanced attentive service with discretion really well. During our three days, most guests were quiet and kept to themselves. A few played videos or took calls at breakfast and around the pool, which wasn’t what I’d expect at a Simpson Travel hotel. It could be a cultural difference, but it needs management attention. It’s not reasonable to leave the bar staff to handle those difficult conversations while also providing excellent service. The rooms were spotless but looked more tired than the photos suggest. At £300 a night, they could do with updating. For example, the bathroom floods. There was construction in the valley, but it didn’t disturb our stay.

One word sums up our time here: AMAZING. The room, the view, the breakfast, and above all the people were all amazing. The service was the best ever.
