Hotel Ralitsa

The staff were rude and arrogant, and the parking was in a separate nearby yard that was unlit and full of grass, bushes and garbage. This hotel feels stuck in time and needs investment to meet 21st-century standards. Service was only a little better than a hostel, and there wasn't even a kettle in the room. The same basic breakfast was served as in dormitories in former socialist countries and in prisons: almost no meat products, and the meat they did serve seemed fit for cats and dogs. There was only white bread, no butter, just margarine fit for greasing doors, and hardly any fruit. The machine coffee was gross, and most frustrating of all, there was no water at breakfast. The hotel has its own beach, but while the beach is sandy, the water has huge stones. It's very dirty, with no garbage bins, and the hotel absurdly bans guests from bringing even their own drinking water. Hotel guests don't get even a 5% discount at the hotel's restaurant, while other hotels offer 10-15%. Menu prices are higher than nearby restaurants, and the food isn't the best quality. I do not recommend this hotel!

The rooms are small but clean and okay, with only a fridge and TV, and not even glasses for drinking water. The one good thing is the location, right in the middle of the seaside walking area. Everything else is hard to recommend. Breakfast is the same every day, with no fruit or drinking water. The beach is dirty, and getting into the water over big, slippery rocks feels like an extreme sport. They won't let you bring even a bottle of water onto the beach, so you have to buy it at the hotel bar. Prices there are higher than nearby bars and restaurants, without the same quality. Although sunbeds are free for hotel guests, the manager told only us we had to order something to sit there and embarrassed us in front of other guests. She was probably against us for some unknown reason. I do not recommend this hotel.

Greek people are nice, but this owner is a bad exception. Frustrated, the owner threw a sunbed at our friend V. She called us malaka, though I don't know what it means.

We were very satisfied and would gladly return, maybe in the off-season. The hotel is right on the beach, and its sunbeds were never full, so we could always find a nice spot. They even serve you on the beach. Breakfast was simple but filling, not heavy, and there was plenty of it. Our first-floor sea-view room was always clean, with a balcony that was huge for the room. Being in the middle of things does mean some noise, though with the window closed it was hardly audible. The air conditioning worked, but the digital lights made the room too bright for me to sleep comfortably. That's just personal preference. We had to ask once for fresh towels, then got double the amount.
