La Pierre

Breakfast was a real highlight. They use fresh ingredients from the garden and serve a sensible portion, so there’s no waste. I normally don’t eat tomatoes, but these smelled so good I wanted to try them for the first time. The owners were easy to talk to and very friendly. The rooms are spacious, thoughtfully designed, and spotless. The hotel feels airy and elegantly decorated, with a calm atmosphere that made me feel at home. I slept really well in the comfortable bed. I’ve been to Thassos six times and stayed at different hotels, and La Pierre is the best one I’ve experienced. After this stay, I don’t think I’ll look elsewhere next time.

The staff were great, and the atmosphere was lovely. Our room was very clean and nicely furnished, with a small kitchen area that had everything we needed. There was also a coffee machine and capsules to use. It’s an easy walk to the beach and port. Parking might be a bit limited, but we had no trouble finding a spot. 10/10.

We had to bring our son after the person we’d planned to leave him with fell ill. We’d booked La Pierre through a website for an adults-only vacation, and the reservation was non-refundable. We contacted the hotel, and they cancelled it without charging us. That showed how much they care about customer satisfaction, and I think they fully deserve their 9.8 rating on that website. We’ll definitely meet one day 🙂🙏 Thank you very much.

The courtyard was a lovely place to nap after too many Mythos beers with grapes and tzatziki, especially when you couldn’t find your room. A local baby lizard kept trying to get in, and after telling her no twice, I let her join us for a late supper. We arrived from Athens on Wednesday, and the room we got was better than expected. Each morning I liked finding the little note with breakfast choices for the next day. I’ve tried doing that at home with little success, and those options were so good that I need to come back for the paper. When we returned, the room had been cleaned and tidied perfectly, whatever state we’d left it in. Maybe the Tsipouro had blurred our memory, who knows? Maria and her mother, our hosts, were cheerful and kind. Maria is also very beautiful, though saying so may be the end of me. We got a bottle of wine when we left, probably because our host could plainly see my girlfriend likes a drink, oh snap :) Was it good value? My girlfriend has ups and downs, so that’s debatable. For the accommodation, yes, it’s there at Limenaria 640 02, you can’t miss it.
