Artemis Hotel Apartments

The sea is very close, and the beach is beautiful. We were really pleased with the hotel too: delicious food and staff who were friendly and welcoming. It was one of our best vacations. Thank you for a wonderful time, we'll definitely return!

If nightlife is what you're after, the location works well: the promenade is lively, with terraces, clubs, and restaurants. The pool, though, is off limits after 6:30 PM, which makes an evening swim impossible. The food got repetitive. Breakfast was the same each morning, with just 2-3 choices, and lunch and dinner changed but were poor, like cafeteria food. Desserts weren't much better, just three kinds of cake rotating from day to day. The nearby beach is rough, covered in gravel and large stones. Without water shoes it's almost impossible to get in without hurting your feet, so renting transport to reach another beach may be a better option.

The only thing that bothered me was the slow WiFi in the rooms. It worked better in the shared areas, and it didn't spoil my good impression. I'd be happy to return, and it seems well suited to a family holiday. It felt comfortable here, almost like home, which is what I want from a place to stay. The host and staff were welcoming, the rooms were clean and looked well cared for, and the pool area was kept up nicely. I especially liked the food. There wasn't a huge selection, but it was all tasty, and as a picky eater I can be hard to please. Each meal had a few choices of protein, sides, and vegetables, and they often served a traditional Greek dish. A big shout out to the hotel's cat Garfield, the local manager. He's a bit grumpy and meows at everyone, but takes his food and his job very seriously.

Mr. Konstantin was always there to help, and the staff were excellent. The rooms were spacious and clean, the breakfast had lots of delicious options, and there's a pool and private parking. The hotel is right in the center of Hersonissos, just a minute from the beach.
