Dorian Boutique Hotel-Apartments

We really enjoyed our time here. The hotel is clean and comfortable, with a lovely sea view, a beautiful yard, and a pool with umbrellas and sunbeds. The service was very friendly, and they were a great help arranging a taxi to the airport. Anyone who wants a quiet stay should know there’s an open-air disco directly in front of the hotel, open until 1 a.m.

The pool and beach views were extraordinary, and my room was clean with daily housekeeping. The manager, Lambros, was amazing and helped with everything, from the airport taxi to trips and restaurant plans. If you’re coming to Crete and need a nice apartment, I had a really good experience here. Enjoy your trip.

There’s no pool here, despite what the photos suggest. The pool and café belong to a local club right next to the apartments. My room was clean, but there was a lot of noise, and I had to shut all the windows and doors to get any chance of sleeping through the night. Breakfast was at a nearby café and didn’t start until after 09.30. I was visiting for business and had been promised breakfast at no charge, but my meeting began at 09.00, so I couldn’t use it. The explanation was that it’s a tourist area where everyone sleeps late, even though they knew why I was staying. Service was poor, and there wasn’t even a bottle of water in the fridge.

If you’re after a party holiday, the Dorian apartment's central spot in Hersonissos could suit you, since it was noisy both day and night. The apartment itself was nice, and Lambros the owner was a helpful, great character. For a quieter summer break, I’d pick somewhere on the edge of town.
