Elina Apartments

The room had a handy kitchenette with a sink, two burners, a grill oven, kettle, coffee maker, and enough basics for simple breakfasts. It was clean and comfortable apart from the hard bed, which wasn’t great for me as a plus-size side sleeper. Mosquito nets on the windows would help too, since my partner and I got bitten quite a lot at night. The room could use some care, but we managed without air conditioning in May, and I didn’t want to pay an extra 7 euros per day to use it. It’s a calm spot, close to the beach road and centre but far enough away for some quiet. Two large supermarkets are nearby, and the Nro 19 Creta Maris bus stop is useful for buses to and from Heraklion/Airport. The staff were helpful, and there’s a small pool area and bar. I enjoyed our stay and would return. A good fit if you’re happy without all the extras and want a peaceful location.

We booked our flights and hotel just 12 hours before departure, and were really impressed with what we got for the low price. The apartments are simple and cozy, and the staff were very nice. Receptionists and bar staff were great. It’s close to the beach, restaurants, bar and supermarket. The pool is basic, though we didn’t use it, as we went to the beach and palm beach club. Air conditioning costs extra, but I’d recommend it. The cleaning could be better in the room corners, and the small bathroom may need an upgrade in the coming years.

We chose Elina Apartments for our trip to Hersonissos, and the welcoming feel was just what we wanted for a vacation. The garden around the bar is lovely and cozy, and nice to look at. Staff were very polite and ready to help with whatever we needed. Our room was tidy and clean, with a fantastic view of the mountains and nature. The hotel is also well located, near the city and close to the centre.

The pool garden was cozy, and the location is central while still far enough from the party areas. We only heard traffic noise. Service was fine, and the room worked, though it felt worn. The TV remote’s off button didn’t work, and one kitchen drawer seemed close to coming off when pulled out. Quite a few staff had trouble understanding or speaking English. Some spoke it fluently, so getting by was possible.
