Elychryson Apartments

Parking was easy, and the location near the beach was peaceful and quiet. The room was clean and well cared for. The bathroom was a little small, but clean and had everything you needed.

The room was very old and the bathroom looked terrible, nowhere near what I'd expect from somewhere listed on Google as a four-star hotel. It hadn't been cleaned before we arrived: there were breadcrumbs in the kitchen and beard stubble around the bathroom sink. There was nobody at reception when we got there and no instructions about what to do. Other guests couldn't get through either. We tried calling, but could hear the phone ringing beside us at reception. After a while two women appeared as if nothing had happened and said they don't check bookings on booking. Then they tried to find us a room as though we were walk-ins, even though we'd already paid. This place wasted our time and energy.

The owners, Mr. George and his wife, gave us a wonderful welcome, and the hotel felt very family friendly. The atmosphere was lovely, and it was a good choice while visiting Hersonissos. Our self-contained room was fairly spacious, air-conditioned and had enough utensils to cook or just stay in and relax. Most rooms seem to fit up to three adults. There's a shallow pool around the back, a small breakfast area and a roomy lobby. The shower space was small, but otherwise it was a memorable stay. I'd wholeheartedly recommend it.

Giorgos was much more than just a host, he was kind and helpful and shared useful tips and places to go. The spot is amazing, just a minute's walk from the sea, yet on a street with no noise. I'd book again if I came back.
