Enorme Infinity Beach ex Infinity Blue

The hotel is near the beach, has parking next door, and the staff were helpful. Our room's balcony had a jacuzzi. But it was not a four-star stay, and we wouldn't return. There was no coffee machine in the room, and they didn't provide one even when we asked. The bed only had a bedspread; when we requested a blanket, they brought a dirty one. A bathrobe and slippers would have been welcome too. With full service, I expected water or juice alongside lunch and dinner, but drinks had to be bought at high prices from the bar. Smoking around the outdoor areas and balconies drifted into our room. We had to keep the balcony door open and the bathroom fan running, and there was a mold smell. Room cleaning wasn't up to standard, and our comments weren't acted on. We stayed five nights and spent most of our time driving around beautiful Crete.

The beach is right outside, and our room was clean and comfortable. The staff worked hard around the clock and were warm and helpful. George, the bartender, whose name I may have misspelled, deserves a mention for serving delicious cocktails throughout our visit.

Some parts of the hotel are very good, but this was not what we expected from a four-star place. Be careful when booking. Room 310 should never be let out because the bathroom is disgusting. In Room 211, you only get a sea view if you sit sideways on the balcony, and the building and rubbish dumped opposite are filthy. During our stay the room got very little attention beyond the bed being made.

This modern, bright complex seems to have expanded by adding other hotel blocks around it. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast buffet was excellent, so it was good value. Housekeeping didn't pay as much attention to the rooms, though. The rooms also lacked working technical amenities: Wi-Fi was weak or nonexistent, and the TV reception was useless. Four stars.
