Lotus Rise Hotel

We spent a week at Lotus Rise and felt welcome throughout, thanks to the friendly staff. Breakfast had a good range for different needs, and the in-room hot tub was the perfect finishing touch. You're close to everything you need, but there's no extra noise from bars, clubs, or music. I'd recommend a stay here. Thanks again!

The hotel was gorgeous, with clean facilities and a charming little pool area. There were plenty of breakfast choices, too. The one small drawback was hearing music from the beach club next door into the early hours, though it wasn't too bad. I'd recommend it.

The service and cleanliness didn't feel like a 4-star standard for the price. Our room was opposite the stairs, beside the elevator, and poorly insulated, so we were woken by guests returning around 3-4 a.m. and by early risers or staff around 8. After two nights we asked to move because we weren't sleeping well. Reception said every room would be similarly noisy and the hotel was full, although rooms still appeared available online. Nobody followed up, which felt impolite. Being told “it’s noisy everywhere” wasn't reassuring. If that's true, soundproofing seems to be a wider issue. The room wasn't as clean as expected, and the balcony and chairs looked like they hadn't been cleaned between guests. The sheets smelled unpleasant, but the hotel replaced them promptly. The shower drain cover was damaged, and after the second day the water stopped draining properly.

We ended up at this hotel after booking Indigo Inn six months ahead, then being transferred here on arrival because of an “electrical problem” at Indigo. We later learned the problem had happened months earlier. Staff just told us to “have a good holiday,” which felt dismissive after we'd paid for a much higher standard. Some staff were helpful, but others seemed unprofessional and at times made us uncomfortable. It also felt as if they were taking advantage of us being young, which was disappointing. The hotel is right by the beach, probably its best feature if that's your priority. Breakfast was decent, the showers were modern, the air conditioning worked well, and a couple of reception staff were welcoming. But the club next door is extremely noisy almost 24/7. We managed because we were out late most nights, but it's not suited to a relaxing holiday. The pool is tiny, rooms are poorly insulated, Wi-Fi is slow, and there's no lunch or dinner option.
