Venus Melena

This is only somewhere to spend the night, nothing more. The location is central, with shops and coffee places nearby. The beach is five minutes away, public transport is close, nightclubs are a 15-minute walk, and Star Beach is 25 minutes on foot. The pool is out of order. The TV gets one Greek channel, and both air conditioning and the safe cost extra. The place is terribly dirty, the beds have springs sticking out, and hot water in the shower is rare. The shower curtains feel unpleasant, though at least there’s a chair so you can shower sitting down. Receptionists don’t speak Russian. Breakfast is more or less okay, but dinner is terrible. It’s meat each day, chicken one day, fish the next, cutlets on the third, with nothing else offered. There are no drinks at dinner, just one kind of salad and side dish. Oranges are the only fruit, if you get there in time. Wi-Fi is only available at reception, but Janus (the owner of the hotel) doesn’t turn on the air conditioning there to save money.
