For 1590€ / 12 days, Hotel Zorbas was the worst stay I've had. Towels were changed only every 3 days, and the sheets were never replaced, just pulled straight again. Toilet paper was also provided every 3 days, so I had to buy my own paper and wipes. On 18/08/2025, there was no water all day until 20:00, leaving guests back from the beach unable to shower. I have video proof. When water was available, hot water took 10 minutes to arrive and the pressure was so poor that showering properly was impossible. The rooms were old and falling apart, as if they hadn't been painted or renovated since the First World War. We waited 1.5 hours at reception when we arrived, with no staff there. Locals kept calling and were told “5 minutes,” but nobody came. I also saw other guests arrive around midnight with children and luggage and wait even longer. The owner was rude, unfriendly, and disrespectful, treating guests as just “money.” Checkout is 12:00, but she made people leave at 11:00, saying “we need to clean.” Cleaning was horrible and hygiene non-existent. The only good thing was the cleaning lady, a very kind woman. We were treated like a problem instead of paying customers. This place is a disgrace and a scam: poor service, no hygiene, ancient rooms, constant water problems, and rude staff. At this price, it was a disaster. Stay away!

For a 2-star hotel, Zorbas was just right for our trip aruond Crete. We mainly used it for sleeping and breakfast. The room was cleaned every day, and we got fresh towels too. Breakfast and service were very good, and the location worked well, about 50m from the sea on a good street with everything from food to fun. Other beaches weren't far either. We'll come back :)

The beach is right in front of the hotel, and you can walk to other beaches nearby too. Tavern Argo was awsome, with realy good food and friendly staff. We found the hotel clean and tidy, with kind staff and a great breakfast that we loved. The location is perfect, and I'd highly recomend this place 🌟

!!!!!PLEASE AVOID THIS HOTEL !!!!!!!!!! The owners acted aggressively, and our stay was the worst experience of my life. The hotel is listed as 2 stars, but I don't believe it meets the requirements: I understand a 2-star hotel must provide air conditioning to all guests free of charge for 24 hours. Here, the owners had put a key-controlled switch on the room's main electrical panel and asked us to pay an extra 50€ per week for the switch key. In our case they wanted 50€ in cash without giving a legal receipt. The air conditioning didn't work anyway, and they blamed us. It was about 40C during our stay, so we had to keep the windows open and mosquitoes bit us all night. The breakfast was worse in both quality and quantity than what you'd get in jail. Finally, the owner, a man in his 60s named Manolis, verbally attacked us, women in our 30s, coming so close that there was almost body contact and making us feel threatened. That behavior is a disgrace to Cretan people, whose hospitality is known worldwide. !!!!!PLEASE AVOID THIS HOTEL !!!!!!!!!!

It was a very bad experience at this hotel. The owners were rude and aggressive. On our last day, they wanted us to pay for a chair that was already broken. We refused, and the male owner started shouting at us while we sat in the garden. He said we wouldn't make it to the airport and wouldn't be able to leave the country. He yelled loudly and invaded our personal space. It was really unpleasant. PS: the damage was 30€.
