The 3 pm Keri Cave boat trip was a good choice. There were about 10 of us, so we could see out and take photos without feeling crowded. The noon boats seemed busier. Captain Dimitri took us by Marathonissi island and beach, where we spotted a sea turtle, then through and around a couple of caves. We also stopped for a 20-minute swim at a secluded beach only reachable by boat before heading back to Keri. Laura arranges these trips twice a day for 25 euros per person. As for Mersina Studios, Laura was very welcoming and gave us plenty of information about town, services and tours. Our older suite was clean and had A/C, a bathroom and a small kitchenette. Markets and restaurants are close, and the beach is about a 5-7 minute walk away. For the price, especially if you book directly with the owner, it’s worth it. Basic accommodation in a handy spot, and we had a good stay.

A friendly, helpful host, and a good price for a longer holiday. The beach, harbour, tavernas and a small shop with everyday essentials are all 200 m away, with an ATM right beside it. Diving and turtle tours are offered around the area too.
