Celine Volos by Halu Apart-hotel

Volos is a really nice city to visit, but this rental made our stay a disaster. The bed was so uncomfortable and soft that after the first night my back was killing me, and I ended up sleeping on the floor. The soundproofing was terrible. The walls between apartments are flimsy, so you hear doors slamming and even neighbors’ light switches. Dogs are allowed, and some tenants brought theirs. They bark without any problem. Cleaning also seemed superficial. Allergy sufferers should know there were dust bunnies under the mattress, probably from several rentals, as the photos show. The shower door seal was poorly installed and let water leak out. There weren’t any dish towels in the kitchen. When I called the service managing the apartments, they said there are no dish towels and that’s just how it is. I also asked for a broom and was told to get one from the basement. They only put one in the apartment when people stay for a week. I asked the building management for cleaning supplies too, and was told you need to stay at least seven days to get a broom or something to mop the floor. What a shame.

We spent three days here and had an excellent stay. The room was clean and had really nice decor, and the place is right in the center. When we needed help, the call center staff were polite and helpful. Well done!

It’s in a very good location and the cleanliness was at a good level. The mattresses were terrible, though, so I’m giving it 4 out of 5.

The room was spotless and had all the essentials, plus a large balcony that gets plenty of sun. A curtain would give it more shade and privacy.
