We tried to enjoy the stay, but at €250 a night we expected more value. We paid EUR 500 for the weekend, booked for the first weekend of the new year in 2026 after celebrating NYE in Athens, and found the construction quality poorly maintained and breakfast poor. The Junior Suite was quiet, away from the main road, with a lovely view of Makrinitsa, and the location was excellent, just 2 minutes on foot from the main village Piata. The common area after reception was a real plus: armchairs, sofas, a fireplace, bar, traditional Christmas sweets, and quiet Christmasy background music. I read there for a couple of hours, early in the morning and at night. Getting there and checking in was frustrating. We called ahead because farmers motorway blockades made the trip uncertain, and to confirm check-in time. No one told us on the website, booking site, or phone that the parking was across the road, about 100 m away. That itself wasn't a problem, but reaching the steep hotel entrance was difficult with another car charging and the main road busy, coming from Volos towards popular, picturesque Makrinitsa, with no chance to stop. We arrived at 13:40 and nobody was at reception. After waiting, a lady came to say check-in was at 15:00. We were received rudely. I explained that the phone call had said earlier check-in might be possible depending on when the previous guests left, and asked to leave our luggage since our room wasn't ready. Very disappointing. The bathrobes were in awful shape and should have been replaced at least a couple of seasons ago. The wardrobe was tiny, though there was room in the entrance hallway for one or at least a couple of coat hooks. The room was cold and took a while to sort out. One of the two bedside lamps kept flashing, so I couldn't read. There was no table lamp by the sofa, so I asked to have the bedside lamp fixed or the bulb changed. Apparently that wasn't possible, but a very motivated young lady trying to solve the issues brought us a lamp from the hotel reception area. The shower height couldn't be adjusted.

Good value for money, with polite and helpful staff. Breakfast was simple and nice, and the products were good quality. Strongly recommended.

When Storm Daniel hit the Pilio area recently, the professional, diligent staff made sure we had food and shelter despite the police curfew and power cuts. It was a great example of Greek hospitality in a difficult time.

The hotel and room were beautiful, but the service left me with bad feelings and a bad impression. We booked a two bedroom apartment with one double bed and two separate beds, then arrived very late, around 23:00 h. At about 21:00, a lady from reception called to say she'd switched us to a more luxurious apartment, but that our kids would sleep in a smaller double bed. When we got there, that smaller double bed turned out to be a short sofa. There wasn't enough room for our two kids, aged 14 and 12, who are 168 and 185 cm tall. We slept very badly.
