Ilyssion Hotel

The front desk team made a big difference, always friendly, attentive and ready to help with a smile. I had a lovely stay, with spotless rooms, delicious breakfast and a perfect location. Highly recommended!

The staff were very friendly, and the sea and surroundings were beautiful. But the food on our all-inclusive stay was terrible, with hardly any fruit, and the beach in front of the hotel had a very strong, unpleasant garbage smell. For a hotel called four stars, the reality felt closer to three or possibly worse. This was the worst experience of our last five years visiting the Greek islands. We were there from 20-27 September 2025.

The staff were mostly pleasant, and the hotel was kept clean. There are three pools, and a third freshwater pool was filled near the end of our stay. Children could use all of them, though we would have liked an adults-only pool since we didn’t want to listen to screaming children. The hotel felt very tired and more like a 3-star place than a 4-star one. The food was like canteen food and never hot. We got only two hot showers in two weeks, the drink choices were very limited with flat mixers, and the bar closed at 10:45 each night. Our sea-view room was basically a view of frosted glass, which we were told was for health and safety. A cheap last-minute deal might have been fair enough, but we didn’t get one and expected a 4-star hotel.

The views, especially the daily sunsets, were unforgettable, and the rooms were comfortable and clean. We also really enjoyed the food. What made the biggest impression was how friendly and helpful everyone was, from the waiters and bartenders to the owners. We felt at home and got to experience that family feeling and Greek hospitality. This was the best holiday of my life, and I’ll be back next year. I can recommend it to everyone.
