It’s a family-run place with friendly staff, and there’s free parking for residents. Shops and restaurants in Livadi are easy to reach, with the main street only about 20 seconds away on foot. The clean room had a balcony, TV, and fridge, and was cleaned daily; the toilet was clean too. The decor seems to date back to the 70s, which gives it a quirky vintage feel, and the shared areas were clean. Breakfast is available for an extra charge. It makes a good base if you want to explore the island.

The staff really go out of their way to help, and the location is handy for the port’s main street, the pharmacy, press center, bars, and several places to eat. The beach is only a five-minute walk or less. Most rooms look out to the sea, while the others have a pleasant night view of the main island village. The rooms are decent, though a bit small, so ask for a renovated one if you can. Breakfast has a small food selection, and you can order different coffees at reception to be brought to your room. Watch out for the clothes hanger. It was an okay stay if you don’t expect too much. If your room faces north, expect to hear the wind at night, which happens almost all year because of the island’s location.

The price was far too high for what we got. The building is very old, the beds were awful, and the room was really dirty. We also couldn’t get the Wi-Fi in our room. Stay away.

There was a musty smell, and you could hear everything because there was no noise control. The bathroom didn’t even have a shower curtain.
